CoSara® PCR MTB Test

Fighting India's TB burden, one test at a time.

India carries the world’s highest tuberculosis burden — accounting for roughly a quarter of all TB cases globally. Delayed diagnosis costs lives. The CoSara® PCR MTB Test brings the same point-of-care accuracy described above to TB testing specifically.

How it works — MTB test

On-site MTB PCR results in under 40 minutes.

The CoSara® PCR MTB Test process is detailed in the Instructions for Use (IFU) and guided by the CoSara® PCR Pro® mobile app. Sample collection, sample lysis, and testing all happen at the point of care — and once the run is complete, results appear directly on the operator's mobile device.

Sample collection

Collect a tongue swab or sputum sample at the point of care.

Sample lysis

Lyse the sample using the lysis tube and a compatible lysis device.

Run the test

Load the test cup into the CoSara® PCR Pro® instrument and start the run from the app.

Read the result

The result appears on the connected mobile device once the run completes.
